Ocean CleanUp launch the INTERCEPTOR™ using our LFB600
The Ocean CleanUp has launched the INTERCEPTOR™, which uses our LFB600 to guide floating debris into an autonomous system for collecting plastic pollution from rivers before it reaches the sea. We have been Project Partners working with TOC since 2016.
Boyan Slat has been leading the Ocean CleanUp team who have come up with a way to stop plastic pollution flowing out of rivers. The INTERCEPTOR™ is an autonomous floating device designed to scoop floating plastic pollution out of rivers before it reaches the sea. It is 100% solar-powered, extracts plastic autonomously, and is capable of operating in the majority of the world’s most polluting rivers.

Bolina Booms is proud to be part of this project
Bolina has been working with the Ocean CleanUp for a number of years and now Boyan’s team have developed their system to clear rivers of floating plastic at source. Their system uses our LFB600 due to its robust construction and efficient flush-sided design which deflects and guides debris into the collection system.
